Reviews: After Earth (1)

This is a very good novelisation of a not particularly good movie. David adds so much background material throughout the novel that helps keep the book interesting. Unfortunately the movie plot isn't great and he's limited by that to an extent. This novel and the prequel are good reads but the movie is somewhat weak with some very silly moments. (The arterial bleed scene is particularly daft as somehow the character manages to survive long enough to be rescued.) I'd be happy to read this again though. I did enjoy the book.
