Victoria Aveyard is an American writer of Young Adult Fantasy. Born in Massachusetts, Aveyard studied screenwriting at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts. She wrote Red Queen, the first in a series of Young Adult fantasy novels, in 2015 and three sequels soon followed. In addition to the full-length novels Aveyard has penned several novellas set in the world of Red Queen, which are collected in the volume Broken Throne. Praised by the Guardian as ‘an exhilarating series’ and with a dedicated and ever-expanding fan base, the series has been optioned by Hollywood for blockbuster movie treatment.
