Ali Hazelwood is the pen name of a neuroscience professor whose witty and hugely entertaining academia-set romcoms have taken TikTok by storm. Originally from Italy, Hazelwood has lived in Japan and Germany and moved to the United States to study for her PhD in neuroscience in the United States, where she now works as a professor, and is the author of several peer-reviewed scientific articles.
Her sassy and wonderfully feel-good debut novel, The Love Hypothesis, came out in 2021, taking TikTok by storm; it was followed by Love on the Brain (2022) in the same series. Hazelwood’s standalone novels include Love, Theoretically (2023) and Check & Mate (2023), and she has also published several novellas set in the STEM field.
