Out of Character plus Prize Draw
Win a 2-night stay at the luxurious Lyme West Lodge in the Peak District.
Closing on 01/12/24
Candice Marie in Nuts in May. Mrs Bennet in Pride and Prejudice. Sue in Here We Go and Pamela in Gavin & Stacey – we can all name a beloved, iconic character brought to life by the magnificent Alison Steadman!
Growing up in Liverpool as the entertainer of the family, impersonating neighbours to the delight of her friends and playing pranks on her unwitting mother (from which the poor carpet never recovered), the young Alison Steadman could never have imagined what the future had in store. But when she snuck off to London to audition for drama school in secret, Alison set in motion a series of events that would see her become one of the greatest character-actors of the age, and a national treasure to boot.
To celebrate the publication of her first memoir Out of Character, you could win a 2-night stay at Lyme West Lodge in the Peak District! The lodge sleeps 4 and you will also have access to the 1400-acre estate grounds of Lyme’s park, location for the BBC Pride and Prejudice adaptation where Alison Steadman played Mrs Bennet.
