We are proud to present the first ever Waterstones Children’s Book Festival, taking place in the historic city of Lincoln from Friday 14 – Sunday 16 February 2025.
Bursting with events featuring bestselling and beloved children’s authors, including Skandar creator A.F. Steadman, the graphic novel genius behind Heartstopper Alice Oseman, Bunny vs Monkey legend Jamie Smart and all-round children’s literature icon Jacqueline Wilson, the festival boasts a huge variety of events and activities to suit all ages.
Hear your favourite authors talk about how they create fictional worlds or unlock your own storytelling potential in one of our writing workshops. Find out how to mix words and pictures in our comic book creation sessions or say hello to beloved characters with a series of fun costume appearances. There is so much to see and do at the Waterstones Children’s Book Festival that makes it the ideal destination for all young bookworms.
Events will take place in different locations across the heart of the city, including The Engine Shed, Southside, Lincoln Central Library, and our beautiful bookshop positioned on the High Street – so join us for an unforgettable family-friendly celebration of stories and illustration.
Tickets are on sale now and more events are to be announced.
We want everyone to feel welcome and enjoy their time at the festival. If you have any questions about an event or if you have access requests, please do let us know how we can support your visit by emailing [email protected].
Whenever you visit one of our festival events, the authors will be signing books. Book signings are a wonderful experience but please expect queues and a wait time. Our booksellers will be on hand with a range of books by the visiting authors and illustrators, so please do talk to our booksellers as they love nothing more than recommending new books and talking about the books they love to read and share.
