Waterstones Says

Brilliantly simple yet utterly addictive, Exploding Kittens frames Russian Roulette in a litter of combustible moggies. Rapidly becoming a cult classic, this card game is an exciting, frenetic hit of madcap fun.

Created by Elan Lee (Xbox, ARGs), Matthew Inman (The Oatmeal), and Shane Small (Xbox, Marvel), Exploding Kittens made Kickstarter history in early 2015 when over 219000 people backed the project.

The game is a highly strategic, kitty-powered version of Russian roulette. Players draw cards until someone draws as Exploding Kitten which eliminates them from the game, unless that player also has a defuse card. The only way to win is to not draw an exploding kitten. All other cards in the deck are used to move, avoid or mitigate the Exploding Kittens.

“So much fun!”

It took a little while to digest the rules (maybe a game or two) but once we had realised the sadistic chaos that we could impose on the other players, the fun really started.
I played this many times on Boxing day... More

“Good game, too expensive”

A good game. However, £20 for a deck of cards with cats on is ludicrous!

“Good Strategy Card Game”

Great fun, doesn't last too long, nor is it too short. The only criticism I have is that there could be more variety of 'action' cards, although one of the expansions available does add this.
