About the event

Buy a ticket to get yourself a pre-signed copy of Art is Dead and a place in line to have a selfie with Tom “Tomska” Ridgewell. *Tickets for Lincoln include a talk and Q&A.

Exact details regarding the venue for each event will be e-mailed to purchasers at least 48 hours before the event.

You will be required to show your ticket to gain entry to the event, and as proof of purchase.

To avoid disappointment, we must stress that there will be no opportunity to view Tom “Tomska” Ridgewell for non-ticket holders.

Terms and conditions

  1. Each event will commence at a location to be disclosed to those attending ONLY. This is for the health and safety of attendees.
  2. Exact details regarding the venue will be e-mailed to purchasers at least 48 hours before the event e.g Monday 19th October for London, Tuesday 27th October for Cambridge, Wednesday 28th October for Birmingham and Lincoln and Thursday 29th October for Liverpool, Manchester and Glasgow. Please be sure to keep a look out for this email
  3. Should you not receive your ticket confirmation email please contact support@ticketscript.co.uk quoting your booking reference
  4. Early arrivals will be turned away. Anyone arriving to the venue earlier than 1 hour before the advertised start time may be asked to return later.
  5. Due to the anticipated high turn-out, please come prepared to queue. We will aim to keep you updated on your waiting time – When queuing outside, please dress appropriately for all weathers, keeping hydrated.
  6. You will receive your pre-signed copy of the book at the venue
  7. Your ticket entitles you to one place in the queue to have a SELFIE ONLY with Tom “Tomska” Ridgewell. There will not be an official photographer present at the event; ticket holders must bring their own camera/phone. Strictly ONE SELFIE photo with Tom “Tomska” Ridgewell will be permitted per ticket holder.
  8. A maximum of one book and one entry ticket per person.
  9. Additional copies of, Art is Dead will be available to purchase at the event but these may not be signed.
  10. No other merchandise will be signed
  11. Due to time restraints unfortunately dedications within the book will not be possible
  12. To avoid disappointment please arrive at the advertised start time. The exact time at which the event ends will be determined by the promoters on the day
  13. Anyone under the age of 14 years must be accompanied by an adult. Any accompanying adults will not require a ticket. Due to time and space limitations each child can only be accompanied by one adult.
  14. Please note the event may be filmed, as an attendee you consent to footage of you being used for promotional purposes
  15. Tickets cannot be resold or transferred and shall not be purchased or obtained from or through any person, commercial agent, company or otherwise than directly by the applicant from Waterstones.com/tickets. Any tickets advertised for sale will be void
  16. Management have the right to refuse entry or remove anyone who does not comply with these rules or who fails to follow reasonable instructions on the day.

Frequently asked questions

Can I have merchandise signed? 

Unfortunately due to time limitations only copies of, Art is Dead will be pre-signed. Additional copies of, Art is Dead will be available to purchase at the event but these may not be signed. 

Can I bring my friends? 

No, all those queuing MUST have a ticket (which will be exchanged for a wristband). Due to Tom “Tomska” Ridgewell popularity, we cannot allow non-signing customers access to view the event. To avoid disappointment, we must stress that there will be no opportunity to view Tom “Tomska” Ridgewell for non-ticket holders.

What if I want or already have an additional copy of the book?

Due to the unique nature of this event it will only be possible to have the book purchased with the ticket pre-signed on the day. Additional copies of, Art is Dead will be available for sale on the day; however these might not be pre-signed.

Can I meet Tom “Tomska” Ridgewell or watch the signing if I haven’t bought a book or have a wristband?

Unfortunately, due to the popularity and therefore security measures in place, we cannot allow non-signing customers access to view the event. To avoid disappointment, we must stress that there will be no opportunity to view Tom “Tomska” Ridgewell for non-ticket holders.

What time can we start queuing?

Early arrivals will be turned away. Anyone arriving to the venue earlier than 1 hour before the start of the signing will be asked to return later.

Can I have my picture taken with Tom “Tomska” Ridgewell?

Yes, your ticket entitles you to one place in the queue to have a selfie with Tom “Tomska” Ridgewell. In order to be fair and for Tom “Tomska” Ridgewell to see so many of you, strictly ONE SELFIE with Tom “Tomska” Ridgewell will be permitted per ticket holder. Unfortunately there will be no time posed/full photos. There will not be an official photographer present at the events; ticket holders must bring their own camera/phone.

What if I lose my ticket / wristband?

To queue for the event you must have your ticket which will be exchanged for a wristband. We cannot replace any lost tickets.

I am under 14. Can I still attend?

Yes. Anyone under the age of 14 years must be accompanied by an adult. Any accompanying adults will not need a ticket / wristband. Due to time and space limitations only one child can only be accompanied by one adult.

What time does the event finish?

Due to the nature of the event, the end time will be determined by the promoters on the day. To avoid any disappointment please arrive at the advertised start time.

If I cannot make the event on the day, can I have a book reserved and signed?

Unfortunately due to the unique element of this event we cannot reserve or have copies signed for those unable to attend on the day.
