Marcus Wareing is a British chef and food writer, whose long association with Gordon Ramsay transformed him into one of Britain’s most accomplished chefs. Wareing joined Ramsay’s Aubergine restaurant as sous chef in 1993 before opening his own establishment, the Michelin-starred Petrus, six years later. After contributing to the seminal The Cook’s Book in 2005, Wareing began producing his own recipe guides, starting with How to Cook the Perfect… in 2007. Wareing opened The Gilbert Scott restaurant in 2011, with an accompanying cookbook appearing two years later, and has also featured as a judge on the television programmes The Great British Menu and various iterations of Masterchef. His latest book, Marcus Everyday, will be published in October 2019.
