Yotam Ottolenghi and Helen Goh in conversation with Sophie Grigson
Tuesday 26th September 19:00 at St Aldate's Church, St Aldate's, Oxford, OX1 1BT
Come and join us as we celebrate the sweet things in life with Yotam Ottolenghi and co-author Helen Goh. Yotam and Helen will be in conversation with cookery writer and founder of "Sophie's Cookery School", Sophie Grigson.
Drawing inspiration from numerous culinary traditions, recipes are included for cakes, cookies, cheesecakes, tarts, pies, puddings and confectionary from speculaas biscuits and financiers to pavlova, pannacotta and Persian lovecakes. Each recipe bears the Ottolenghi hallmark of fresh ingredients, exotic spices and complex flavourings, including figs, rose petal, saffron, aniseed, orange blossom, star anise, pistachio and cardamon.
There is something for everyone in this book - simple sweets parents can make with their children as well as recipes that will inspire the most accomplished of bakers.
Yotam and Helen will also be assembling a pudding from Sweet and at the end this will be auctioned for charity!
