Once Upon a Time in Birmingham: Women Who Dared To Dream
Sunday 10th March 2019
14:00 - 15:00 at Waterstones, Birmingham
To mark activities around International Women’s Day, Waterstones Birmingham is hosting a special event on Sunday, 10 March to celebrate the achievements of 30 inspiring women from the city.
Once Upon A Time In Birmingham: Women Who Dared To Dream is a new book created by Birmingham City Council in partnership with a local publisher, author and illustrators – all of whom are women.
Hear from some of the women who played an instrumental part in the book’s creation and learn about the achievements of some of the city’s most fearless females, as they share their own stories.
Once Upon A Time In Birmingham: Women Who Dared To Dream is appropriate for all ages, but especially those aged 11–16, and aims to inspire the city’s next generation of female achievers, leaders and pioneers.
Tickets are £3, which is redeemable against a copy of the book purchased at the event.
