Virginia Woolf in Words & Pictures - with Frances Spalding
Wednesday 24th January 2018
13:00 - 14:00 at
Waterstones, London - Gower Street
"A true letter", Woolf insisted, "should be like a film of wax pressed close to the graving of the mind."
Today we are thrilled to welcome art historian, critic and biographer Frances Spalding to Gower St. Waterstones for an illustrated talk that combines Woolf's letters with photographs and paintings of Bloomsbury's artists and writers.
A day ahead of the anniversary of Virginia Woolf's birth in 1882 we will celebrate both Woolf's birthday and the publication of Frances Spalding's glorious new book The Illustrated Letters of Virginia Woolf (National Trust Books) - all welcome!
Tickets £5 (£3 for students) are available online or by telephone 020 7636 1577
