The Word Factory Salon: Myth, Magic and Sublime Women with Marina Warner, Joanna Walsh and Dubravka Ugresic

In our final Word Factory salon of the year, join us for mythical readings and inspired conversation with Marina Warner, Joanna Walsh and Dubravka Ugresic. A unique chance to hear Marina Warner discussing the place and power of story with one of former Yugoslavia's leading writers and one of the UK's most powerful new voices in short fiction.

Joanna Walsh is a writer and illustrator whose work has already captured the attention of the Paris Review.

Dubravka Ugresic left Croatia in 1993 because she "could not adapt to the permanent terror of lies in public, political, cultural and everyday life." Her work has been highly acclaimed and in 2009, she was nominated for The Man Booker International Prize.

Dame Marina Warner is an acclaimed novelist, short story writer, historian and mythographer. Her latest collection of short stories, Fly Away Home, is published by Salt.
