The Feminist Book Society: Can We All Be Feminists?

Wednesday 21st November 19:00 - 21:00 at London - Tottenham Court Road

The Feminist Book Society Manifesto:
Feminist. Bookish. Curious. Inclusive. Challenging. Kind.

Can We All Be Feminists?

Feminist Book Society co-founders Eleanor Dryden and Katy Loftus will be discussing intersectionality, identity, and inclusion in modern feminism with our wonderful panel, made up of Eishar Kaur and Wei Ming Kam, with Rowan Coleman.

Rowan Coleman is the bestselling author of 12 novels, including The Accidental Mother, Lessons in Laughing Out Loud, and most recently The Summer of Impossible Things, a Zoe Book Book Club pick. She also wote the award-winning Dearest Rose, which led her to become an active supporter of domestic abuse charity Refuge, donating 100% of the royalties from the ebook publication of her novella, Woman Walks Into a Bar, to the charity.

Eishar Kaur is a twenty-five-year-old Londoner working in children’s publishing by day, and writing by night. She can be found on Twitter @eisharkaur.

Wei Ming Kam has written for the bestselling essay collection The Good Immigrant, the graphic novel anthology We Shall Fight Until We Win, Media Diversified and Gal Dem. She works in publishing and is the co-founder of BAME In Publishing, a network for people of colour who work in publishing in the UK, and Pride in Publishing, a network for queer people who work in publishing in the UK.

Feminist Book Society is about coming together, sharing ideas, having fun, meeting new people and championing the fight for equality through everything we’re thinking, reading and writing.

Tickets are £6 and can be partially redeemed against the purchase of 'Can We All Be Feminists', or £10.99 including a copy of the book.
