The Conversation: Should I have children?

The Conversation is  a website of news and expert opinion written by academics and researchers, where expertise is made accessible for the world to learn from.

Explore the social, financial, health and environmental implications of the choice whether or not to have children, as well as the joy that comes with the decision either to have a child or to be childfree. We'll be discussing with academic experts and authors to help cover some of the most pressing questions we may ask ourselves when considering the choice.

Keynote and panellist:

Professor Pragya Agarwal, behaviour and data scientist and Visiting Professor of Social Inequities and Injustice at Loughborough University

Other panellists:

Professor Viren Swami, science communicator and social psychologist at ARU

Dr Patricia Hamilton, sociologist at the University of York
Dr Tom Whyman, writer and philosopher at the University of Liverpool
Eloise Hendy, writer and poet
