Sold out | TCR Poetry presents: A celebration of Audre Lorde, with The White Review and Silver Press
Tuesday 7th November 19:00 at London - Tottenham Court Road
“... poetry is not a luxury. It is a vital necessity of our existence.” – Audre Lorde
A self-described “black, lesbian, mother, warrior, poet,” Audre Lorde dedicated her life and work to addressing questions of race, gender and sexuality as well as parenthood, love and political injustice.
In this month’s edition of TCR Poetry, in collaboration with The White Review and the new feminist publisher Silver Press, we will be celebrating Lorde’s work with readings from four phenomenal poets: Jay Bernard, Sophie Robinson, Rachel Long and Karen McCarthy Woolf.
Your Silence Will Not Protect You is the first edition to bring Lorde’s prose and poetry together – join us for an evening celebrating this amazing voice which is so vital and relevant today.
Tickets £4 and redeemable against a copy of Your Silence Will Not Protect You.
This event is now sold out but will be streamed live on facebook.com/waterstonesTCR
