#SciFiSessions with Becky Chambers
Monday 23rd July 2018
18:30 at Waterstones, London - Gower Street
Becky Chambers will be talking to Glyn Morgan about her latest and highly anticipated novel, Record of a Spaceborn Few. Becky is the author of the phenomenally successful and popular Long Way to a Small Angry Planet (2014), which produced an acclaimed sequel in 2016 entitled A Closed and Common Orbit. Record of a Spaceborn Few, like its predecessors in the Wayfarers series is set in the vivid universe of the Galactic Commons, and continues familiar stories and themes whilst being a standalone adventure all of its own.
The books of the Wayfarers series have been nominated for the Hugo Award, the Arthur C. Clarke Award, and the Bailey's Women's Prize for Fiction, among others. They are fun, exciting, heart-warming novels as full of real-feeling characters, fascinating aliens, and wry banter as they are wormholes, artificial intelligences, and galactic politics.
