Summer of Spies: Nicholas Searle on Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy
Tuesday 25th July 18:30 at London - Gower Street
As we eagerly await the release of John Le Carré’s new novel A Legacy of Spies, Waterstones Gower Street celebrates some of his best-known and most iconic thrillers with a series of Rereading Le Carré evenings, featuring some of the best writers of modern spy fiction.
For our first Rereading Le Carré event on July 25th, Nicholas Searle, author of The Good Liar and A Traitor in the Family, will be talking to the Telegraph’s crime and thriller critic Jake Kerridge about JohnLe Carré’s enduring masterpiece Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.
Nicholas Searle has been touted as a writer ‘in the footsteps of Le Carre’. Before becoming a writer, Nicholas enjoyed a successful public service career in intelligence and security. A Traitor in the Family is his second novel, following the Sunday Times bestseller, The Good Liar, which was shortlisted for the CWA John Creasey New Blood Dagger for the best debut crime novel.
