An international human rights lawyer, Philippe Sands book is a stunning account of how the Nuremberg Trials, started the whole movement of Human Rights law, including the tale of Elsie Tilney, a Norwich missionary who actually rescued the authors mother from a Nazi internment camp! Thus began this amazing book, which has now gone on the win the Baillie-Gifford prize for Non-Fiction (formerly known as the Samuel Johnson Prize)

Philippe will be speaking in our Café, and there will be an opportunity to get a signed copy.
