Ophelia Field & Lulu Taylor In Conversation

Thursday 4th April 18:30 at London - Kensington

Join us for an evening of conversation between bestselling authors Ophelia Field and Lulu Taylor as they discuss the fascinating history behind the characters of the Oscar-winning film 'The Favourite', as well as the strands of historical fiction running within Taylor's novels such as 'The Winter Secret' and 'Her Frozen Heart'.
The authors will be discussing the factors which make Sarah Churchill's life so utterly compelling, delving deeper into her life as Queen Anne's favourite, as well as exploring the translation of historical fact into remarkable fiction.

This is a free event. To reserve your seat please email us at kensington@waterstones.com, call 0207 93708432 or speak to a bookseller in store.

The Favourite: 'Sarah Churchill, Duchess of Marlborough, was as glamorous as she was controversial. Politically influential and independently powerful, she was an intimate, and then a blackmailer, of Queen Anne, accusing her of keeping lesbian favourites - including Sarah's own cousin Abigail Masham.'

The Winter Secret
is a thrilling mystery from Lulu Taylor, top ten bestselling author of The Snow Rose. A mansion with a long and turbulent history, is calling back people who were once part of its story, and the secrets that have stayed long hidden are bubbling inexorably to the surface .
