Northern Magic Panel

Join us for an evening with five debut adult fantasy authors to discuss bringing a sprinkle of Northern magic into their books.

Frances White presents Voyage of the Damned, an enthralling novel following the voyage of the heirs of Concordia as a killer stalks the deck picking off the privileged one by one. A seamless blend of fantasy and whodunit.

Genoveva Dimova presents Foul Days, the first in a new Slavic-inspired fantasy series which sees our main character Kosara seek to defeat her monstrous ex, and reclaim her magic in the process.

Emma Sterner-Radley presents Snowblooded, a queer, Swedish-inspired, 18th century fantasy, following a mismatched duo of rival assassins tasked with killing the mysterious leader of the city's illegal magic trade.

Sarah Brooks presents her enchanting period novel The Cautious Traveller's Guide to the Wastelands, following an unforgettable group of passengers on their way through the dangerous wasteland between Beijing and Moscow. A thrilling tale of mystery and danger on the Trans-Siberian Express.

Eliza Chan presents Fathomfolk, a breathtaking debut centred on a world where the precarious co-existence of humans and sea creatures is put in jeopardy by the rise of dangerous extremists, inspired by East Asian mythology.
