From why egg yolks create the smoothest of custards, to how lamination (that's layering butter and dough for you) gives you awe-worthy croissants, explore every how and why of baking in SIFT, the expertise debut book by Nicola Lamb!

Nicola joins us to reveal all the science and craft behind perfect bakes and will inspire us all whilst exploring the properties of Flour, Sugar, Eggs and Fat, how these ingredients interact to transform colour, texture and taste.

Nicola is also doing a pop-up at the iconic FARRO bakery whilst she's in Bristol, so we will be tasting delicious bakes inspired by SIFT and made in Bristol's favourite bakery- exclusively for our audience!

Nicola Lamb is a recipe developer and pastry chef, having trained in London and New York's top bakeries, including Ottolenghi, Dominique Ansel and Little Bread Pedlar. She is also the brain behind the top food & drink Substack, Kitchen Projects.
She will be in conversation with Karen Barnes, former Head of Food for Delicious magazine
