Michelle Paver is an international bestselling author with over 3 million copies of the WOLF BROTHER books sold across the globe. She was born in Malawi and came to England as a child. She studied Biochemistry at Oxford University, before becoming a partner in a City of London law firm. After thirteen years of law she turned to writing. She never looked back.

Known for her hands-on approach to researching her novels, with treks to Siberia and the Arctic, she has explored ice caves and has swum with killer whales.  Michelle has had to look closer to home for inspiration this year. Spending time outdoors, wandering in the woods and climbing trees has given her much solace.

Abi Elphinstone grew up in Scotland where she spent most of her childhood building dens, hiding in tree houses, and running wild across highland glens. After being coaxed out of her treehouse, she studied English at Bristol University and then worked as a teacher in Africa, Berkshire, and London.

She is the author of numerous bestselling children’s books, among them Sky Song, The Dreamsnatcher trilogy, The Unmapped Chronicles and The Snow Dragon. When she’s not writing, Abi volunteers for the children’s literacy charity Coram Beanstalk, speaks in schools about reading and writing, and travels the world looking for her next story (cue adventures living with the Kazakh Eagle Hunters in Mongolia and kayak trips under the midnight sun in the Arctic…).
