Mhairi McFarlane, In Conversation
Friday 8th April 2016
18:30 at
Waterstones, Nottingham
Journalist and author, Mhairi McFarlane became an instant literary star with her début novel, You Had Me At Hello, which is currently in development as a film with the author herself penning the screenplay.
In her fourth and latest novel, journalist Edie becomes a social outcast when caught in a compromising situation at a colleague's wedding, sent into virtual exile in Nottingham to work as a ghost-writer does little to dampen the furore surrounding the incident that put her there. Living with her father again, her identity is thrown into crisis and she finds herself asking the same question as everybody else: Who IS that girl?
Come and see the author in conversation with Nottingham Evening Post's Simon Wilson, over wine and nibbles as we launch the new title from a truly magnificent local talent!
