Meet Donald Murray

Thursday 8th November 18:30 at Inverness

Donald S. Murray is well known as a writer of both poetry and non-fiction about Scotland, especially the Highlands and Islands. Now he turns his talent to fiction, with the launch of his novel As The Women Lay Dreaming.

Set in Lewis in 1919, this novel tells the story of the Iolaire disaster, a tragedy that shaped the community for decades to come. The loss felt and change to the community is explored in this heartfelt and sensitive book, as we follow the life of Tormund, a survivor of the disaster. This book is guaranteed to become one of the most important novels of Hebridean life.

This event is free to attend.
