Madeleine Gray in conversation with Pandora Sykes at Waterstones Piccadilly

Waterstones Piccadilly are pleased to welcome Madeleine Gray to celebrate publication of her debut novel Green Dot. Laugh-out-loud funny, deeply moving and whip smart, Green Dot is a story about the terrible allure of wanting something that promises nothing and the winding, torturous, often hilarious journey we take in deciding who we are and who we want to be.

‘Brilliant. Riveting. Sharp. Funny. Dark. I want to give Green Dot all the adjectives but will content myself with saying it is one of the best books you will read all year’

  • Elizabeth Day

‘I wolfed Green Dot down over two nights. An incredibly funny book about a woman having an affair that’s a really bad idea. Every sentence sparkles’

  • Caitlin Moran

‘Witty as Fleabag, psychologically insightful as Sally Rooney – everyone will be talking about Green Dot

  • Lucie Whitehouse

Madeleine Gray is an arts writer and book critic, as well as a PhD candidate in English Literature at the University of Manchester. Madeleine has an MSt in English from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Art History from the University of Sydney. Green Dot is Madeleine’s debut novel.

Please note: book and ticket option includes a copy of Green Dot (RRP £18.99) available for collection on the night
