Lose Your Armour - Launch with Chris McLoughlin

Join us in the Sillitoe Room for the launch of the new collection from Nottingham poet, Chris McLoughlin, with readings from an impressive line-up of supporting local artists. Lose Your Armour will explore vulnerability and self-expression, using poetry to breakdown the stigma surrounding emotional struggle.
The Lose Your Armour performance launch explores vulnerability in poetry, and how the form can be used for self-expression as well as helping audiences to feel less alone in their emotional struggles. The night will include a special performance of Chris McLoughlin’s canto Dust Days, as well as a showcase of some of the most powerful poets in the Nottingham scene, who use their craft to explore issues and to break down stigmas around talking about subjects often seen as taboo.
Performers include Jim Otieno-Hall, Ioney Smallhorne, Georgina Wilding, Milla Tebbs, Midnight Shelley, Anne Holloway, Akor Opaluwah & more TBC.
