Killer Women: an evening with Paula Hawkins, Mel McGrath, and Erin Kelly
Tuesday 25th July 18:30 - 20:00 at London - Islington
Join us for an evening with three crime writers at the top of their game: Paula Hawkins, Mel McGrath and Erin Kelly.
Having worked as a journalist for fifteen years, Paula Hawkins penned the phenomenal hit of 2015: The Girl on the Train. Now published in 50 countries, in 40 languages, her debut has gone on to sell over 18 million copies worldwide and has been adapted into a major motion picture. Hot on the heels of this success, Hawkins' Into The Water was released this year. Praised as 'highly suspenseful,' 'captivating,' and 'unputdownable,' Into The Water is a 'succulent new mystery' to match Hawkins' previous success.
Mel McGrath is an award-winning writer of both fiction and nonfiction. As MJ McGrath she is known as the acclaimed author of the Edie Kiglatuk series: White Heat, The Boy in the Snow, and The Boneseeker, which was picked as both the Times and the Financial Times' thriller of the year. As Melanie McGrath, she penned the critically lauded and bestselling memoir Silertown. This month, as Mel McGrath, she will be releasingGive Me The Child: a 'gripping,' 'moving,' and 'utterly terrifying' new thriller.
Erin Kelly's first novel, The Poison Tree, went on to become a Richard and Judy bestseller, a major ITV drama series, and was longlisted for the 2011 CWA John Creasey Award. Since then, she's gone from strength to strength: The Sick Rose, The Burning Air, and The Ties That Bind were all published to critical acclaim. Further, and most memorably for some, Erin also penned the novelisation of 2014's hit series, Broadchurch (though she's still disappointed that she didn't get to meet David Tennant).
We're thrilled to be hosting Paula, Mel and Erin in store: please join us for what should be a phenomenal evening with three of the hottest crime writers working today.
