John Connolly and Mark Billingham - In Conversation
Thursday 20th August 2020
19:30 at Waterstones, Online Events
Join us for an exclusive online event with two titans of crime fiction, as Mark Billingham interviews John Connolly about his latest thriller.
The Dirty South is John’s eighteenth Charlie Parker novel, but works as the first in the series, written as a prequel. It’s the perfect starting point for those who have yet to encounter Parker, and a treat for those already familiar with the character.
Witness the becoming of Charlie Parker, a former NYPD detective, stricken by grief. It is 1997 and he is mourning the death of his wife and child, and searching in vain for their killer. He cares only for his own lost family. But that is about to change.
Friends for many years, John and Mark have this year both turned their pens to writing prequels. Join them for an evening unpicking the mind of Charlie Parker and a masterclass in returning to where it all started.
Tickets are £5 general admission or £22 which includes a copy of THE DIRTY SOUTH, UK delivery only.
