Jill Abram presents Assembly Lines
Thursday 15th March 19:00 at London - Tottenham Court Road
Joining Jane in the line up are:
Peter Raynard, editor of Proletarian Poetry and member of Malika’s Poetry Kitchen
Raymond Antrobus, a Hackney-born, British-Jamaican poet, educator, editor and curator of Chill Pill
Seraphima Kennedy, a Jerwood/Arvon mentee in poetry for 2017/18 and a proud member of the collective Malika’s Poetry Kitchen.Assembly Lines asks what it means to be here and now, in post-industrial towns and cities of the heartlands that are forever on the periphery. From schools and workplaces and lives lived in 'a different town, just like this', these poems take a historical perspective on the present day from the ground upwards - whether the geological strata that underpins a 'dithering island' or the ever-moving turf under a racehorses' hooves.
Tickets are just £3 and where possible are redeemable against the purchase of a book
