In Conversation with Susan Stokes-Chapman

Returning with her newest publication, we've got Aberystwyth alumnus and store favourite Susan Stokes-Chapman coming to discuss The Shadow Key! Susan Stokes-Chapman had enormous success with her debut novel, Pandora, which had a sell-out book launch and was a company-wide bestseller - we're sure this one will have the same impact!
The Shadow Key is another richly atmospheric gothic page-turner, in which a disgraced physician discovers dark secrets in an eighteenth-century Welsh backwater.
This is a great event for lovers of historical fiction, Welsh settings and all things gothic! It's also a lovely opportunity for university students to see an alumnus of Aberystwyth University who has had such success, and to hear her story and process.
Tickets are £5 with a concessionary rate of £3 for Plus card holders. This price includes refreshments on the night, and tickets can be purchased online or in-store.

'A mesmerising maze of a gothic Georgian mystery. Enter an eerie and liminal world steeped in superstition, Welsh folklore, and pagan cults. Gloriously atmospheric from the first dark page to the last' - Essie Fox

'A novel to read under the covers with a flashlight. I adored this deliciously dark and romantic journey to Georgian Wales, and stayed up far too late uncovering its secrets. Gloriously Gothic, and lovingly and carefully researched, The Shadow Key is an instant classic' - Kate Heartfield, author of THE EMBROIDERED BOOK
