Join three YA fiction writers as they come together for this ultimate YA LGBTQ+ panel event to discuss friendship, romance, adventure, survival and everything else in-between. This stellar line-up includes David Levithan, the New York Times bestselling author of Every Day and co-author of Will Grayson, Will Grayson (with John Green) and many others including his latest book 19 Love Songs, Juno Dawson, bestselling author of Clean and Meat Market, Ryan La Sala, author of, Reverie and Darren Charlton, debut author of Wranglestone.
The event with be chaired by Katherine Webber, author of Wing Jones and Only Love Can Break Your Heart.
David Levithan is the New York Times bestselling author of many novels including Every Day, Another Day, Two Boys Kissing, Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist (with Rachel Cohn), and Will Grayson, Will Grayson (with John Green). He won the Lambda Literary Award for his debut novel Boy Meets Boy. David's most recent book is the just-released 19 Love Songs. He lives in New Jersey where he works with other people’s words as a publisher and editor by day.
Juno Dawson is the multi award-winning author of 11 books, including the best-selling Clean and her recent adult memoir, The Gender Games. Dawson is a regular contributor to Attitude, GT, Glamour and Guardian. A School Role Model for Stonewall, Dawson also works with the charity First Story to visit schools serving low-income communities. Dawson grew up in West Yorkshire, writing imaginary episodes of Doctor Who. She later turned her talent to journalism, writing a weekly serial in a Brighton newspaper. She writes full time and lives in Brighton.
Ryan La Sala grew up in Connecticut, where studied Anthropology and Neuroscience at Northeastern University before becoming a project manager specialized in digital tools. He technically lives in New York City, but has actually transcended material reality and only takes up a human shell for special occasions, like brunch, and to watch anime. Reverie is Ryan’s debut novel.
Darren Charlton is a talented new voice in UK YA fiction. His first novel Wranglestone positively shivers with a chilling, creeping sense of disquiet, and the need to hold those you love close, against all odds. A wonderfully atmospheric and clever commentary on a society in survival mode, with themes of love and acceptance at its heart. He lives in London.
