Waterstones, Warrington
Eric Tucker’s life story was a quietly extraordinary one: never moving out of the Warrington house he shared with his mother, he worked obsessively at his paintings and created a unique world through his art.
In The Secret Painter, his nephew Joe commemorates the work of his uncle, now viewed as an important exponent of Outsider Art whose work has been compared to L.S. Lowry and acclaimed by figures such as Jarvis Cocker. Join us to hear Joe in conversation about this incredible story, with award-winning poet and novelist Andrew McMillan.
Please note that Waterstones Warrington does not have customer toilets. Toilet and Baby Change facilities are accessible in the mall via the escalators and Blue Zone lifts.
