"How To Understand The Mind" with Gen Kelsang Jigme, Principal Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Centre

Tuesday 2nd October 18:30 at Liverpool

Enjoy an evening of contemplation here at Waterstones Liverpool One, with Gen Kelsang Jigme, a Buddhist monk and the principal teacher at Kadampa Meditation Centre Liverpool.

At this event you will learn about the nature and function of the mind and how this understanding helps to bring peace and happiness to our busy, modern lives.

This talk is based on the inspiring book, How to Understand the Mind, by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso; the author of 23 highly acclaimed books on meditation and Buddhism.

Drawing on his personal understanding and experience of applying the teachings and concepts explained in the book in his own life, Gen Jigme will reveal tried and tested techniques to transform our minds, helping us to remain peaceful and happy even in the most difficult situations.

Towards the end of the talk, Gen Jigme will take questions about the book and more general questions about meditation and Buddhism.

Gen Kelsang Jigme is an experienced teacher of meditation and modern Buddhism and the principal teacher at Kadampa Meditation Centre Liverpool. He has been a student of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, the author of the book, for over 20 years, receiving guidance and instruction directly from Geshe Kelsang on many occasions.
