Forgotten Women: The Scientists with Zing Tsjeng, Roma Agrawal and Angela Saini
Tuesday 6th March 18:30 at London - Gower Street
To celebrate International Women’s Day, we are delighted to be hosting ‘The Scientists’ – a panel led by UK Broadly editor and author of the Forgotten Women series, Zing Tsjeng. She will be joined by two outstanding women of science: Roma Agrawal– the structural engineer behind the shard and author of Built–and Angela Saini, science journalist and author of Inferior: How Science Got Women Wrong.
The trio will discuss both the historical and present experiences of women in science as well as the un-celebrated contributions of individual female scientists. This will be followed by an extended Q&A with the audience, and there will also be the option for those who can’t attend to live-tweet their questions.
This is the first in a two-part series, which will be followed by Forgotten Women: The Leaders at Waterstones Tottenham Court Road on Wednesday 7th March.
Tickets for The Scientists at Gower Street are £8/6(students) and include a glass of wine.
A select number of tickets for both events (The Scientists at Gower Street and The Leaders at Tottenham Court Road) are also available and are £12.
