In this, the second of our Festival America events, Erica Wagner talks to three writers about some of the most powerful forces at work in contemporary American and Canadian cultural life: Black Lives Matter and fears over terrorism and security.  Brit Bennett is the author of The Mothers; Nathan Hill will be familiar to UK readers as the author of The Nix; Omar El Akkad's American War is set in an American post apocalyptic wasteland.
