Fashion & Fiction: The Clothes They Wore - An Evening with Terry Newman hosted by Rosie Goldsmith

Friday 15th September 2017
18:30 - 20:30 at Waterstones, London - Gower Street

A writer's attire so often reflects the creative and spiritual essence of his or her work, and "Legendary Authors and The Clothes They Wore" is a fascinating adventure through the wardrobes of fifty revered writers whose work and ways of dress bear an idiosyncratic stamp influencing culture today - from James Joyce's wire-framed glasses to Joan Didion whose dress-sense was so 'out of fashion' that she became the face of Celine's 2015 collection!

This evening we are thrilled to welcome two always-beautifully-dressed guests, as author Terry Newman discusses writers, their clothes and their books in conversation with literary host Rosie Goldsmith. With archive photographs, anecdotes and readings - this will be a night of uniquely bookish glamour.

£6 (£4 for students with a valid ID) are available via Ticketscript, in-store or by telephone 020 7636 1577.
