Fact and Fiction: An Evening with Jim Crace and Jim Shepard
Tuesday 30th June 2015
18:30 at Waterstones, London - Piccadilly
Jim Crace and Jim Shepard, two of the English-speaking world’s most respected literary writers, will be in conversation with Erica Wagner. Jim Crace will be reading from his seminal Booker-shortlisted novel, Quarantine, which is being reissued by Picador Classics. Meanwhile, Jim Shepard’s novel The Book of Aron is told through the eyes of a young boy as he navigates through the terrors of the Warsaw Ghetto during the Nazi occupation. Erica Wagner will ask, "how can historical facts, or the great stories of myth and religion, be turned into fiction?"
