An Evening with Garth Nix and V. E. Schwab

Wednesday 16th October 2019
18:30 - 20:00 at Waterstones, Edinburgh - West End

For one night only, we are proud to present this special in-store event with Garth Nix and V. E. Schwab.

You can look forward to a discussion of their latest books - Nix's Angel Mage and the second volume in Schwab's The Steel Prince graphic novel series. There will also be the chance to ask questions and get your books signed.

Angel Mage

More than a century has passed since Liliath crept into the empty sarcophagus of Saint Marguerite, fleeing the Fall of Ystara. But she emerges from her magical sleep still beautiful, looking no more than nineteen, and once again renews her single-minded quest to be united with her lover, Palleniel, the archangel of Ystara.

'Fantasy that reads like realism. Here is a world with the same solidity and four-dimensional authority as our own, created with invention, clarity, and intelligence. I congratulate Garth Nix' - Philip Pullman

Night of Knives - Shades of Magic: The Steel Prince 2

Based on the bestselling Shades of Magic book series Steel Prince is an original new comic series from NYT bestselling author V.E. Schwab following the adventures of the young Maxim Maresh before he became the King of Red London. Steel Prince: Night of Knives is the second collection in the graphic novel series where having slayed the pirate queen the young prince now faces his second seemingly impossible trial: surviving the night of knives.
