Empathy Day: Malorie Blackman, Joseph Coelho and Professor Robin Banerjee in conversation
Tuesday 11th June 2019
18:30 at Waterstones, London - Piccadilly
Empathy Day: Waterstones Piccadilly is delighted to welcome Malorie Blackman, poet Joseph Coelho and psychology Professor Robin Banerjee who will be in conversation with Nicolette Jones.
Read stories. Build empathy. Make a better world.
Empathy Day uses books to help us understand and connect to each other better, and highlights empathy’s importance in our divided world. To mark this special day, we have partnered with its founders, EmpathyLab, to bring together a powerful panel for The Empathy Conversation.
A wonderful cross-disciplinary panel will explore how stories and poetry can help young people understand others’ feelings and perspectives, and why this is so key for their life chances. Join Malorie Blackman, poet Joseph Coelho and psychology Professor Robin Banerjee from the University of Sussex. The Chair is Nicolette Jones of the Sunday Times. Afterwards, you can meet Malorie and Joseph, who will be signing books
