Dystopia and George Orwell's 1984

Thursday 27th June 18:00 - 19:15 at Cambridge

Published in 1949, Orwell's  literary landmark 1984 is disquietingly apt for today's reader. Mass media control and government surveillance loom large in the current cultural consciousness.

Come celebrate the 70th anniversary of the publication of Orwell's disturbing dystopia by joining our series on Dystopian Literature lead by contemporary fiction and dystopian literature scholar Dr Amy Crawford.

The event is FREE but space is limited. Please book your place here.
