Culture Night at Waterstones

Friday 20th September 17:00 - 18:00 at Cork

Waterstones Cork presents a Culture Night reading with authors Rachel Andrews , Dee Collins and Marie Gethins from issue 9 of the literary journal Banshee and poet Kimberley Reyes .

Rachel Andrews’s writing has appeared in the London Review of Books, n+1, Brick, The Stinging Fly, Longreads, and The Dublin Review. In 2018, she was runner up in the inaugural Hubert Butler Essay Prize and in 2017 was shortlisted for the Fitzcarraldo Essay Prize and the Notting Hill Essay Prize.

Dee Collins emigrated to Cork from Clare and has completed a Masters in Creative Writing at UCC. She is the 2018 recipient of the J.G. Farrell Award for Fiction.

Marie Gethins’s flash appears in NFFD Anthologies, Flash: The International Short-Short Story Magazine, Jellyfish Review, Litro, NANO, Synaesthesia, The Incubator, The Nottingham Review, Spelk, Ellipsis Zine, Words with JAM, Paper Swans, 101 Words and others. She has been Pushcart-nominated for Best of the Short Fictions and is a sub-editor of Splonk.

Kimberly Reyes is an award winning journalist and poet. Her latest collection Running To Stand Still, a semi-finalist for the 2017 Luminous Origin Literary Award , will be published by Omnidawn in Oct 2019. Kimberley is a Fulbright scholar at University College Cork
