Common People: An Anthology of Working- Class Writers
Friday 17th May 2019
19:00 at
Waterstones, Newcastle

'Common People' is a collection of essays, poems and memoir, inspired by a shared concern that working class voices are increasingly absent from the pages of books and newspapers. The anthology features thirty-three established and emerging writers who invite you to experience the world through their eyes, their voices loud and clear as they reclaim and redefine what it means to be working class.
This event will include readings from Manchester poet Tony 'Longfella' Walsh, novelist and short-story writer Lisa Blower and journalist Anita Sethi.
We hope you'll join us for an evening of exciting new writing.
