Books in Conversation: The Handmaid's Tale

Thursday 22nd August 18:30 at Kendal

To celebrate a brilliant selection of new releases this year, we'll be hosting a series of book club style evenings. We'll be discussing some of our all time favourite books and some of the new releases that we are especially excited about.

On August 22nd at 18.30 we will be taking an indepth look at Margaret Atwood's critically aclaimed The Handmaid's Tale.

An unforgettable portrait of defiance and authoritarian rule, The Handmaid's Tale is a classic dystopian vision of a terrifyingly believable future. As a powerful, devastatingly wry exploration of female oppression, this book has resounding resonance for our times.
