BookFest at Waterstones Piccadilly

Waterstones Piccadilly is delighted to announce our second BookFest and if that wasn’t exciting enough we will also be hosting House of YA in partnership with Penguin Random House Children's Books.

Waterstones BookFest - Wednesday 16th August

11am - publisher stalls open for exclusive merch giveaways, quizzes, photobooth opportunities, collaging craft activities and workshops. All morning activities are free to attend.

12:15 - BookFest will be kicked off by The Candid Book Club who will be hosting a drop in session on how to grow your brand through social media.

13:00 - Come along and join Bex Hogan for a creative writing workshop and explore the twists and turns of fantasy world-building. Covering elements such as landscape and magical creatures, Bex will guide you on a journey to create your own unique fantasy setting.

13:30The Candid Book Club will host their infamous book club at 1:30pm as they discuss and celebrate Emily Henry's Happy Place. We all know how much you love it and now you can indulge in discussing your fave plot points, infuriating character traits and steamy story lines. Details here

14:00 - Come and meet some of your favourite authors as they join their publishers on the shop floor for signings! Taylor Dior Rumbler, Josh Silver, Kate Weston, Sarah Underwood, Bex Hogan, Lex Croucher, Samantha Shannon, Trip Galey, Verity Holloway, Aleema Omotoni, Jan Dunning, Esmie Jikiemi-Pearson, Alexandra Christo, Katharine Corr, Juno Dawson and Saara El-Arifi. 

15:00 - A panel of perfection with fantasy authors A.Y. Chao (Shanghai Immortal), Hannah Kaner (Godkiller) and Sabaa Tahir (A Sky Beyond the Storm) as they discuss their most recent publications and how they have created the fictional fantasy lands that we love so much. Details here.

18:00 - Topping off the evening with the fabulous Chloe Gong as she discusses the blistering opening installment of Flesh and False Gods series, Immortal LongingsDetails here.
