Book Launch! Guest by SJ Bradley

Thursday 27th July 18:30 at Leeds

Join us as we celebrate the launch of SJ Bradley's second book 'Guest', a stunning piece of fiction inspired by true events.

Samhain is a young, angry, and bewildered squatter living in an abandoned hotel in the North of England. One day he receives a message: his father – a man he never never – was an undercover policeman infiltrating the Green movement of the 80s. What's more, he finds out that he too is now a father.

As Sam leaves for Europe, he pursues freedom and flees from his responsibilities. Responsibility, however, is hard to escape. Guest is a story of disillusionment, protest and, eventually, redemption.

SJ Bradley is a writer from Leeds, UK. Her first novel, Brick Mother, was described as being 'urban, northern, and authentic' by Structo magazine, and 'one of the finest novels ever written about work' by 3am magazine. It was shortlisted for the Gladstone Writers in Residency Award. She has previously been shortlisted for the Willesden Herald prize and recently won a Saboteur Award for her work editing the 'Remembering Oluwale' anthology. She lives in Leeds with her husband and cat.

Tickets are free but places must be reserved in advance. To reserve your place please ring 0113 244 4588 or email us or tweet us @WStonesLeeds.
