BFS Reading featuring Hal Duncan, Cat Hellisen, & Georgina Bruce

Thursday 30th August 18:30 - 20:00 at Glasgow - Argyle Street

The British Fantasy Society returns to Glasgow with another fantastic set of readers curated by local member Shona Kinsella!

Cat Hellisen is a writer of beautiful dark fantasy for children and adults, who has lived in many countries and places before settling in Fife. Her latest book is the brilliant short story collection Learning How to Drown.

Hal Duncan is a longtime and critically acclaimed author of strange fiction of all lengths; his work encompasses Bible fanfic (Testament), far-future retellings of Greek myth (Sussurus on Mars) and steampunk fables (the Scruffians), of which his latest book, The Land of Somewhere Safe, is one.

Georgina Bruce is a writer and teacher currently living in Edinburgh. Her fiction is concerned with the weird, liminal, creepy and puzzling, and can be found in Interzone, Black Static, and various other magazines and anthologies. Her short story 'White Rabbit' won the 2017 British Fantasy Society award.

Come join us for some incredible readings by brilliant and smart performers, and for a drink with the writers afterwards!
