We are delighted to welcome bestselling author Ben Aaronovitch to Waterstones Piccadilly, as we celebrate the publication of Rivers of London (Tenth Anniversary Edition) and What Abigail Did That Summer in paperback.

A divine mash-up of comedy, crime and fantasy, Rivers of London is the book that kick-started the formidably successful Peter Grant series. Overlaying a wonderful supernatural gloss on the streets and landmarks of the capital, Ben Aaronovitch provides a thrillingly exciting opening mystery for his detective/apprentice wizard protagonist. This 10th anniversary special edition contains four masterful illustrations, a brand-new map, an illuminating introduction from Ben and stunning illustrated endpapers.

Ingeniously blending urban fantasy with the police procedural, What Abigail Did That Summer is a dazzling novella in the Rivers of London series which follows Peter Grant's cousin Abigail as she sets out to solve the mystery of teenagers going missing around Hampstead Heath.

Ben will be in conversation with Tendai Huchu, author of The Hairdresser of HarareThe Maestro, the Magistrate and the Mathematician, and most recently The Library of the Dead. He is the winner of a Nommo Award for African SFF, and has been shortlisted for the Caine Prize and the Grand prix de l’Imaginaire. He was one of the 2020 judges for the Scottish Book Trust's New Writers' Awards. You can find him @TendaiHuchu.
