Authors - Unbound
Saturday 6th October 10:00 - 18:30 at Nottingham
One day, 30 authors, 5 panel group discussions, Q&A sessions and readings, all in the Sillitoe Room at Waterstones Nottingham!
A range of authors from Unbound Books, - a unique publishing house – will discuss their works, their new books in a series of panels covering literary and genre fiction, historical writing, non-fiction and comedy; with readings from the authors and a chance to put your questions to them.
"Unbound works as a crowdfunding publisher; readers pledge to fund the publication of the books they want to see in print, and in return, they get not only their name in the book as thanks and other pledge rewards, but they get to be a patron of the arts. The authors at today's event are all published by Unbound, so the event not only showcases the diversity of the imprint, but demonstrates how crowdfunding can support a range of books and new authors. Among the authors here today are: a QI elf, multiple prize-winning short story and non-fiction authors, a Guardian journalist, authors of science textbooks and of film criticism, TV and radio comedy writers, screenwriters, fashion experts, business writers, and novelists and storytellers. Plenty of storytellers. Each panel offers a chance to engage in discussions about a selection of writing genres and forms, as well as for attendees to ask questions about writing, crowdfunding and other non-traditional ways into print, and about the authors' own books. We hope there's something for everyone!"
Your ticket gets you in to any and all of the events and panels throughout the day, and is redeemable against a purchase of a book from one of the authors at the event!
