As the Women Lay Dreaming: A night with Donald S Murray
Monday 12th November 18:30 at Glasgow - Sauchiehall Street
Donald S. Murray will be at Waterstone’s Sauchiehall Street on Monday 12 November to discuss his novel, As the Women Lay Dreaming: a novel of the Iolaire.
The book tells the story of a survivor of the 1919 Iolaire disaster, when a ship carrying some 200 people on their way home to Lewis from World War I sank in Stornoway harbour, claiming the lives of a generation of islanders. Donald S Murray is a son of the Hebrides and his novel draws upon his own experience of growing up in Lewis, in the shadow of the tragedy.
