An Evening with R.F. Kuang

Wednesday 24th May 2023
18:30 at Waterstones, Canterbury - Rose Lane

An Evening with R.F. Kuang

We’re very excited to host R.F. Kuang as we join her in celebrating the publication of Yellowface. The bestselling author of Babel harnesses her satirical powers in this tantalising and deliciously humorous literary thriller that investigates ambition, greed and white privilege with deadly precision. Rebecca will be in conversation with Catherine Cho, author of Inferno and literary editor.

Tickets £5 general admission, or £20 includes entry and an exclusive edition of Yellowface (RRP £16.99) available for collection on the night

Rebecca F. Kuang is a Marshall Scholar, Chinese-English translator, and the Astounding Award-winning and the Hugo, Nebula, Locus, and World Fantasy Award nominated author of the Poppy War trilogy and Babel. Her work has won the Crawford Award and the Compton Crook Award for Best First Novel. She has an MPhil in Chinese Studies from Cambridge and an MSc in Contemporary Chinese Studies from Oxford; she is now pursuing a PhD in East Asian Languages and Literatures at Yale.

Catherine Cho is a literary agent and the author of Inferno: A Memoir of Motherhood and Madness, which was shortlisted for the Sunday Times' Young Writer of the Year Award. She lives in London with her family.
